HVAC Technician
Job Description:
We are located in Williamsville. Looking for experience HVAC technician that can service, install and repair for heating and AC unit.
- $25-$40/hr.
- Full Time
- Medical, 401K, PTO, Paid Vacation (after 1 year)
Core Qualifications for an HVAC Technician
1. Education (Baseline)
- High school diploma or GED — non-negotiable.
- Trade school or vocational training in HVAC is strongly preferred.
- Old-school guys learned in the field; today, formal training speeds competence and cuts mistakes.
2. Licensing & Certifications
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Required by federal law)
- Type I – Small appliances
- Type II – High-pressure systems
- Type III – Low-pressure systems
- Universal is the gold standard
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (strongly preferred)
3. Experience
- Journeyman: 3–5 years hands-on field experience
- Senior / Lead Tech: 5+ years, can run jobs and train others
4. Technical Skills (Must-Have)
Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
Diagnose:
- Furnaces (gas/oil)
- Boilers
- AC systems
- Heat pumps
- Electrical troubleshooting (low & line voltage)
- Refrigeration cycle knowledge
- Brazing, soldering, and proper evacuation
- Use of meters, gauges, combustion analyzers
- Work with ductwork, ventilation, and indoor air quality systems
- Perform regular maintenance and tune-ups
- Install, replace HVAC units
5. Physical & Practical Requirements
- Work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops
- Comfortable with ladders and confined spaces
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

- NATE Certification

8. Background & Work Standards
- Pass drug screening
- Pass background check
- Willing to be on-call and work overtime when needed
